An Outdoors Destination Resort
Twanoh State Park
If you're looking for a fun day excursion near the Tahuya Resort, Twanoh State Park is just across the Hood Canal. This state park along the canal offers plenty of water activities, including fishing, boating, and kayaking.

The park has the feel of an old-fashioned camping resort but with contemporary amenities. Be sure to bring your balls, rackets, and horseshoes.

There's plenty of room to share for kayakers and paddling as well. Twanoh State Park is well-known for its excellent water conditions. Take a refreshing dip in the Hood Canal and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Need a pause from the beach? The park's southern half contains a hiking trail through a green forest of moss-draped trees that filter sunlight. The trail runs along a river that is filled with Chum salmon in the fall.

Oyster harvesting is also available with a license, and shellfish licenses can be conveniently purchased where ever fishing licenses are sold.
